Glenn Carle has spent over 25 years in the intelligence community in the U.S. After receiving a BA from Harvard University and an MA from Johns Hopkins University, Carle went on to serve as an Operations Officer in the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). He would later have a stint as Deputy Intelligence Officer in the National Intelligence Agency. Mr. Carle recently moved into the private sphere, working primarily in defense and space related industries.
Is Islamic terror a worldwide movement or a series of regional threats? Glenn Carle tests the commonly held theory that the west is in a fight against “Global Jihad.” Carle contends that while young Muslims around the world may identify with figures such as Osama Bin Laden, this is akin to an American wearing a Che Guevara t-shirt. In short, the imagery does not necessarily match the mindset of the person. Carle offers us a different and perhaps enlightening view on the current global terror phenomenon.
